  • Windows 7 No Longer Supported Beyond 2019-20 School Year

Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and 2008 RS Operating Systems will no longer be supported for online test administration after the 2019-20 school year.

We recommend that any districts using devices with these operating systems to please upgrade to the latest version of Windows before the 2020-21 school year. This change will be in effect for the screener opening during the first week of August. A list of supported systems is available on the Secure Browsers page. This information will also be published in NE’s 2020-21 Operating System Support Plan for Test Delivery System.

If you have any questions, please contact the NE ELPA21 Help Desk or refer to the resources for Technology Coordinators.

  • ELPA21 Summative Tests and Participation Reports are Open

ELPA21 Summative tests and participation reports are now open. The ELPA21 summative test window ends on March 13, 2020

There are two significant changes in the 2019-20 ELPA21 Summative administration:

    • The K-1 Writing Supplement has been eliminated.
    • To order paper, large print, and braille materials for Summative tests, please contact the NE ELPA21 Help Desk. Whereas in previous years, users had to place orders in TIDE, Help Desk agents will be able to gather details and place orders on your behalf. Some orders may require state approval before they are processed, so please place your orders for materials as soon as possible.

The ELP21 Summative test window ends on March 13, 2020. Please review the ELPA21 Summative Test Administration Manual and TA User Guide under portal resources for guidance on administering ELPA21 tests. It is strongly recommended that all Test Administrators administer the ELPA21 Practice Test to their students prior to administering the summative test so the Test Administrators and students can become familiar with the technology prior to summative test administration.

Contact the Nebraska ELPA21 Help Desk if you encounter any issues administering ELPA21 tests.
